अर्थसंकल्पीय अधिवेशनात विरोधकांनी कांदा उत्पादकांना तातडीने आर्थिक मदत जाहीर करण्याची मागणी लावून धरली होती. या पार्श्वभूमीवर बोलताना मुख्यमंत्री एकनाथ शिंदे यांनी सोमवारी विधानसभेत एक महत्त्वाची घोषणा केली आहे. राज्यात अडचणीत सापडलेल्या कांदा उत्पादक शेतकऱ्यांना दिलासा देण्यासाठी प्रतिक्विंटल 300 रुपये सानुग्रह अनुदान/ subsidy देण्याचे घोषणा मुख्यमंत्री एकनाथ शिंदे यांनी विधानसभेत केली आहे. आणि या निर्णयामुळे कांदा उत्पादक शेतकऱ्यांना मोठा दिलासा मिळणार असल्याचे सुद्धा ते म्हणाले आहेत. CM eknath shinde म्हणाले आहेत की खरीप हंगामातील लाल कांद्याचे आवक मोठ्या प्रमाणावर आहे. देशातील इतर राज्यातील कांद्याचे उत्पादन वाढल्याने पुरवठ्याच्या प्रमाणात मागणी कमी आहे. त्यामुळे कांद्याच्या दरामध्ये घसरण झाली आहे. कांदा नाशवंत पीक असल्याने त्याला किमान आधारभूत किंमत MSP लागू करण्यात करता येत नाही. कांदा हे महाराष्ट्रातील महत्त्वाचे नगदी पीक असून त्याला मिळणारा भाव कांदा उत्पादक शेतकऱ्यांच्या दृष्टीने अत्यंत संवेदनशील जिव्हाळ्याचा भाग आहे. देशातील कांदा उत्पादना आणि त्याची देशांतर्गत अंतर्गत मागणी व देशातून होणारी निर्यात इत्यादी सर्व बाबींचा परिणाम बाजारपेठेतील कांद्याच्या दरावर होतो आणि झालेला आहे. उत्पादक शेतकऱ्यांना दिलासा देण्यासाठी राज्य शासनाने एक समिती नेमली होती. समितीने 200 आणि 300 रुपये प्रतिक्विंटल दर मिळावा अशी शिफारस केली होती. परंतु हे सरकार कांदा उत्पादक शेतकऱ्यांच्या पाठीशी उभे राहणार असून त्यांना दिलासा देण्यासाठी सानुग्रह अनुदान म्हणून प्रतिक्विंटल तीनशे रुपये भाव देण्याची निर्णय घेतल्याचे मुख्यमंत्र्यांनी यावेळी सांगितले आहे.
